I just saw…

Green Street Hooligans. (R, Elijah Wood) Replacing multi media reviews is this simple recurring post ‘I just saw…’. It’s a quick way to keep you posted on movies and TV shows that I think you might find interesting…or want to avoid watching.

This posting is about Green Street Hooligans. At the risk of not overhyping this film – thus reducing the impact it could have on you – I’ll keep it simple. First, a quick overview. Elijah Wood is a Harvard journalism major two months away from graduating. He gets kicked out after being falsely accused of an offense his roommate committed. Shortly after he heads to London where he meets the head of a Bristish football team’s “fan club” – and learns some valuable lessons.

Now, a review. I knew within the first three seconds I was going to dig this film. And I was right. It’s an incredible movie; well written with excellent acting. I highly recommend seeing this; it’s one of those movies you can’t believe went to DVD so soon and more people aren’t talking about. I loved it.
